I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (and shared them first in this post!), and got tons of questions from you guys ever since. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! Do they fit as expected?
I found them to fit true to size, at least for me.
Since they keep their shape and half sizes aren’t available, I’d recommend sizing up.
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good almost immediately. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since they help with airflow. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in synthetic materials. Bonus, they’re already broken-in so your feet just get comfortable fast.
Do they hold up well?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid. Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They have a hidden arch lift that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is unique. And the shine on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Would you recommend them?
Yes! Just try not to pay full price. They cost a lot, so getting them discounted is worth it. They’re worth the investment, especially if you get a pair you love. I chose a loud pair, but a low-key version would also look great.
